Crispy Caramel Corn

1 C. Sugar
1/2 C. butter (1 cube)
1/2 C. dark karo
1/2 t. salt
1/2 t. vanilla
4 qt. popped corn

stir and cook over medium heat to boil. Boil 5 min. Pour over corn to cover. Bake 1 hr at 250°, stirring every 15 min.
